I moved to Falls Church from Washington, DC in 2008, for affordable housing and a lower tax burden. Falls Church is where I started my family. However, my story starts on a different continent altogether...

In 1987, I left communist Poland as an eight-year-old after my father obtained political asylum in Sweden. As most Swedish migrants, we lived on welfare in social housing in a predominantly multicultural immigrant area. I have lived in the plentiful Sweden, which is often heralded by Democrats as a poster child for successful socialism, and I have seen its ugly underbelly. Today’s Swedish society should serve as a warning of how one of the world’s safest, harmonious, and open democracies can be undermined from within in just one and a half generations, as its prosperity evaporates.

I come from a working-class background: my father was an electrician, and my mother was a hotel maid, and my grandparents had little to no education. As a legal migrant, I was given the opportunity by the United States to attend University of Maryland where I got my B.A. in Economics, and George Mason University where I got my B.S. in Accounting. It is hard for me to look at my children and know that they most likely will not have the same access to quality education, housing, and upward mobility as I and my generation did. Politically, I used to be a lifelong Democrat.

However, the last 4 years of Democrats in power really proved to me that Democrats had fundamentally changed in an extreme way.

I voted for Democrats because I thought they were for women’s reproductive rights. I never voted for open borders, de-funding of the police, three Vietnam wars a year in fentanyl overdoses, taxpayer-funded benefits to illegal migrants, sanctuary cities, victim-hood of criminals, race-based preference in schools, wealth redistribution, antisemitism on college campuses, and gender as a social construct.

To me, the United States has always stood as a democratic beacon of freedom in the world, common sense policies, and leader in economic prosperity. How could I ever vote for Democrats? Today, as a former Democrat, I am humbly asking for YOUR vote as a VA House of Delegates Candidate in District 13 – Falls Church on November 4th, 2025 as a Republican.

I believe we can change the trajectory Democrats have set for Virginia, and I will fight for all of us so we can return to the prosperity we once knew, for You, Me, and Our children!
